Beautifully restored 1906 log home. 4 bedroom 3 bath located on the main street in the heart of historic Crested Butte.
One block to ski shuttle, short walk to shops and restaurants. Tennis courts 1/2 block, park, playgrounds, soccer fields and theater 2 blocks away.
Now dog friendly for maximum of 2 dogs with Pet Fee, with large yard for dogs to play! (not fenced)
Yasnaya Polyana, ''Bright Meadow'' in Russian and named after the home of Leo Tolstoy, is located on the quiet end of the historic main street. It is conveniently close to the center of town where you can explore great restaurants, galleries and shops. At the same time, the Nordic Trails in the winter and hiking in the summer, are two blocks away. Hop on the bus and in a few minutes you are up the mountain of Crested Butte with its world class downhill skiing.
The home has two separate living room areas, two master bedrooms with their own en-suite bathrooms and central kitchen. Youngsters enjoy bunk beds in a third bedroom. There is an additional bedroom with a queen size bed. One of the living room areas also has a fold-out couch. Perfect for families with kids or friends traveling together. The kitchen is fully equipped with dual fuel stove and lends itself to cooking and apres ski entertaining with unobstructed views of Crested Butte Mountain from the front window. Try out new recipes, or leave cooking to one of the restaurants in town and curl up on a couch in front of the Franklin stove with a good book. Other amenities include 2 steam showers, a large jetted tub, 45'' TV with surround sound, 2 other TVs, wireless internet and more.
There are 3 off-street parking spaces. Please use those before you leave your cars on the street.

Summary: The house was perfect for us. Great size, nice yard, and perfect location to explore CB. It is also cool that it is a historic house. Owner was very responsive. Absolutely recommend staying here if you’re visiting CB!

Summary: The property was perfect for our group. There are 7 of us that do an annual ski trip and this property was perfect for this years. Great location for getting to the slopes easily then to get to town for dinner and drinks was blocks away.

Summary: Everything was as advertised. Close to town and we had a great time. FYI - Master bedroom doesn't have a door. Overall the property was clean, nice and convenient to town.

Summary: We rented this place for our friend's 50th bday celebration. It was great. Cool, cabin-like vibe inside and great location. Bus to go to the ski hill was right around the corner and walking distance to anywhere in town. We would like to return!

Summary: Overall, our family had a very nice stay at Yasnaya Polyana with 3 adult couples and 3 children (ages 8, 6 & 3). The property is within short walking distance to the Crested Butte ski shuttle and the charming historic downtown area. We liked the rustic character of the home and had plenty of space for spreading out with the two living rooms and large round table in the kitchen area between the LRs. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms spacious. Excellent communication from owner Ewa and Property Manager was responsive to a couple of minor issues. The property is comprised of two 2-story cottages interconnected by the Kitchen / Dining room which has a high vaulted / beamed ceiling. Washer & Dryer are located in a closet in this section. Each cottage has a Living Room and a bedroom on the ground floor with a larger bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The north cottage faces Elk Ave with Bedroom 3 & Bathroom 3 on the ground floor and Bedroom 4 & Bathroom 2 on the second floor. The south cottage features a mud-room entrance across from the detached garage and a larger living room, but it has a few quirks that while not a big deal for us, we thought should be noted. Bedroom 1 (King) is located at the top of the stairs with Bathroom 1 but there are not any interior doors to isolate either the bedroom or bathroom. While it was not really an issue for us, noise readily travels up the stairs from the kitchen and living room, and the rest of the family respected our privacy when we were in "residence". Bedroom 2 on the ground floor is a small room with a queen bed and the water heater / boiler in a closet off the room. My daughter and her partner had to open one of the windows in the room to balance the heat from the utility room. We would stay here again.

Summary: Nice property and well located for easy access to the downtown and general Crested Butte area. Nice layout for a small family gathering. The only minor drawback was the lack of doors on one bedroom and its bathroom.
